houses 10 guest rooms, 4 living rooms, as well as various annexes. There is also a swimming-
pool with panoramic views over the surrounding forests of olive trees, various gardens, a small vineyard, a tennis court, a small gym, as well as numerous indoor and outdoor spaces equipped for corporate or private events for up to 200 guests. There is also a modern parking lot outside the walls of the Quinta to accommodate guests.
The 15th century well-preserved old olive oil cellar, one of the most antique portions of the estate, is where the known restaurant “Refeitório Quinhentista” is located (4.5/5 on tripadvisor). One of the barns was converted into an olden-times “pub-style” Bar and Antiques store that houses the owner’s private collection of antiques.
LOCATION
The Ribatejo region is known for its rich cultural, gastronomical and historical heritage. Home of world-renowned wines and historical towns, at the bifurcation of the Tagus and Zêzere River, it is next to the picturesque town of Constância that we find the Quinta de Santa Bárbara. Only 1h by car from Lisbon airport it is ideally located for a holiday home, for events as well as for touristic exploration. The Templar ex-libris Tomar, UNESCO World heritage site with its 12th century Convent of Christ, lies only 20KM away. The Castle of Almourol, a unique templar construction built in an island on the river Tagus, lies only 5KM away. Due to the strategic location with a great sky night quality, there is an Astronomical Observatory located right next to the Quinta which is worth a visit. The Quinta is also located near the Castelo de Bode dam and the Aldeia do Mato ecological beach.
